Lori Lyons

 Journalist - Writer - Storyteller 

Lori, an award-winning journalist, has been a member of the New Orleans area media for nearly 30 years. She spent 26 years at The Times-Picayune, reporting on a wide variety of subjects including sports, crime, politics, government and human interests. Since 2012, she has worked steadily at a freelance writer for various newspapers and web sites, including The New Orleans Advocate, L'Observateur , The St. Charles Herald-Guide and She also spent six months as a writing assistant in the Public Affairs Office at Loyola University New Orleans. 

Lori  is an established blogger at, and the author of The Diary of a Mom in Waiting, a memoir about infertility and adoption.
